Two of my t-rexes.
Today I’m asking for your help. But first, a little background.
How I work
I sew all my creatures and characters by hand. I haven't used a sewing machine for several years. I have one but I only use it for garments, and not always even then. (One day I’ll show you a hat I hand sewed.) I love to just sit on the sofa and sew. This results in a lot of sticking myself with needles and pins but it's worth it. For one thing, I find hand sewing relaxing. But also, I don't have to hassle with finicky machines. I am not a gearhead, and when machines act up I just want to throw them. Avoiding them saves me a lot of angst.
When I make my creatures and characters I use either fleece or felt. Fleece is not only soft but is the most forgiving of materials. It doesn't wrinkle and it's malleable. Felt is more temperamental and fragile but it still works, especially for small, flat creations. Both come in a zillion colors.
A flat felt creation.
I stuff my “plushies,” i.e., stuffed animals, with polyester fiberfill.
Fiberfill.
A stuffed toy can hold a ton of fiberfill. However much you think you've stuffed it you can always fit more. It's mostly air. In order to make the toy firm you need mass quantities of it.
Flat characters like the dragon above are stuffed with batting, which is thin and compact and comes in sheets. It's also used to fill quilts.
Batting.
Batting has to be cut, while fiberfill is like cotton candy and pulls easily.
It usually takes me a few days to a week to sew my creatures. Some take longer, as you will see, and some are easy to whip up in a couple of hours.
T-Rexes and a request
Now we come to my next project: a t-rex. At the top of this post are pictures of two t-rexes I made from a pattern by Funky Friends Factory. It's called Timmy T-Rex and it's available on Etsy. It's well designed and easy to make and I want to do another one or two for my upcoming Jurassic lawn installation.

I’ll talk more about patterns in another post, but for now I want to ask for your help. What colors should I use for my next t-rex? I have a pretty good assortment so I can probably accommodate you. Please leave your suggestions in the comments.
Thanks so much, and I’ll let you know what I decide!
Can the fabric be part of the pattern like something with crinkles or distressing? Was wondering about something like this: https://luxurysofabric.com/products/heavy-weight-moss-greenolive-green-73050?variant=48721882153272¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&srsltid=AfmBOootwd4xdogbctyA2lEihVzyY52TCfpgJiwccEQjWNC--ZWSsaVl-4Y
Think of where you want the critter exploring. If it's a woodland in autumn, then fall colors.
